A celebration of art and culture from Cypriot and Maltese diaspora

This zine came together so we could share the work of the many people we’ve connected with over the course of working on Other Isles. It meant we could have something physical to commemorate what we have achieved and celebrate more elements of the incredibly rich output from these two communities. We have contributions of poetry from Joe Cook, Lyrics from our music and film collaboration with Rea. We commissioned Cahit Asova to do a very special history of Cypriot Music as well as commissioning an important piece by Daniel Theophanous exploring attitudes towards LGBTQI+ within the British Cypriot community. We have poetry from the amazing Jen Callega, recipes from Paul Sultana and Eleni Elia (who in my opinion makes the best koubebia) and illustration from Chris Athanasiou and Mathew Gauci.
